After thirteen-and-a-half years at CSG, Kate Newland has decided that 2019-2020 will be her last. She will retire, effective June 30th. Over her time at the school, Kate has been a receptionist, the calendar maven, and the Assistant to College Counseling, to name a few of her roles. She has been much more, of course, than these important jobs. Kate has been a supportive, spirited community member, who is quick with a joke and a wonderful laugh that is truly contagious. She is also a wonderful story teller who always has an ear to lend for a colleague, a parent, or a student. Perhaps Cari Schultz said it best when she was introducing Kate as the 2016 recipient of the Staff Award of Excellence: “Kate is a consummate professional, but also a wonderfully supportive colleague and a dedicated member of the school community. She loves CSG and cares about those who make up the CSG family.” I know that we, as members of that “CSG family,” are the fortunate recipients of Kate’s professionalism, dedication, and wonderful sense of humor.

After 20 years in various roles at CSG, Debbie Yoho has decided that this will be her last at CSG. Having served the School in many capacities, including as part-time library aide, part-time communications assistant, and full-time library assistant and textbook coordinator, Debbie is ready to move on to the next phase of her life. Besides feeling lucky to have spent so many years here in her "natural habitat" (libraries!), Debbie relished the challenge of coordinating textbook purchases as “textbooks” expanded from mostly print texts to various combinations of print, digital, and consumable resources. She was also delighted to be able to share her love of dance with the CSG community by teaching dances to students in PYC, LS, and US, as well as faculty and staff. Although she looks forward to retirement, Debbie will miss her work, the students, and of course, her colleagues. Feel free to contact Debbie at email@example.com
