Center for Girls & Young Women’s Leadership
In the Upper School, the Center has launched two elective courses, Leadership Seminar and CFO. A lecture and discussion-based class, Leadership Seminar I will feature scholarly articles, guest speakers, and personality and leadership assessments to help students develops the skills to express their authentic selves. Taught by financial advisors from Budros, Ruhlin, and Roe, CFO introduces students to careers in finance and foundational skills for managing personal finance by exploring budgeting, credit cards, credit scores, interest rates, taxes, and insurance policies.
Center for Mathematical Reasoning
In September, the Center will launch a Math Peer-Tutoring program in which Upper School students will be trained in best practices to provide near-peer tutoring for students across the school. Reach out to Dr. Stephen Lewis for more information on this exciting program. Our Math Olympiad will also offer a way for students in Forms IV-V to practice their skills together in a friendly, competitive atmosphere.
Center for Science Research & Engineering
This year, the Center will launch the first-of-its-kind CSG Science Research Journal, allowing students from PYC through the US to publish their scientific research. Connect with Dr. Stephanie Nelson for additional information.
Center for Artistic & Creative Expression
Our first-ever Chalk Festival will be held Saturday, October 7. This will be an fun and exciting opportunity to bring your family to campus to learn more about chalk art and to create your own chalk design on the courtyard. A light breakfast will be available and proceeds will go to support funding for tuition assistance at CSG. Stay tuned for more details!
Center for Equity and Belonging
Save the date for Spring Break World Dance Camp. Open to forms IV-XII, campers will spend each day learning dance ranging from Polynesian to Irish Step, and from Bollywood and Classical Indian to Kpop. This camp will run the second week of spring break (March 25-29), the same week as Linda Resch's spring break camp open to PYC - Form III students.
Center for Global Citizenship
The Center is hard at work planning for global experiences for upper school students this spring. US families can look out for communication from the Center about the Global Travel Programs meeting to be held in a few weeks.
