Letter from the Lower School Director

April 12, 2024

Dear Lower School Parents and Guardians,

Children’s Book Week is upon us and we couldn’t be more excited! Our theme is focused on our 125th anniversary, and our students have been immersed in reading, researching, and exploring our school’s history for months in Library class,  learning about the two remarkable young women who founded the school in 1898 Florence Kelly and Mary Boles Scott.

This upcoming week is a celebration of learning and the power that comes with interdisciplinary project work. Throughout the year, the girls have not only gained knowledge, but also teamwork, confidence, and agency. We hope to see you on campus to experience the joy that comes when students are passionate about their learning!

Best regards,

Betsy Gugle
Lower School Director
