College Counseling
At CSG, we want all of our students to find the right fit for college.
With a comprehensive college counseling program, we have the resources to ensure that every student receives guidance specific to her talents, interests, and needs.
At Columbus School for Girls, we educate, counsel, and act as advocates for our students during the college search and selection process. The strength of our program is in the personal and individual attention each family receives as students seek to find a perfect fit. Beginning in the ninth grade, we host parent and student programs, administer standardized tests, teach college counseling classes, and meet individually with students and their families. Nationally, we represent Columbus School for Girls during our travel to colleges, universities, and conferences.

As Director of College Counseling, Kristin partners with students and families to guide them through the college search process. She works with students to provide one-on-one counseling sessions and informational programming including essay writing and financial aid workshops, college night programs, and more.
In her previous role, Kristin served as the Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Communications at Saint Michael's College, where she oversaw admissions, student financial services, and marketing and communications. In her role there, Kristin served as a leader in the President's cabinet and supported the school in the design and execution of strategic planning focused on enrollment for the college.
Sarah Brewer, Dean of Academics
Part of Sarah’s role as Dean of Academics involves supporting CSG’s College Office. In addition to chairing the Academic Review Board, Sarah ensures the integrity of academic data on transcripts and information reported to colleges and universities.
Sarah most recently served as Interim Director of College Counseling here at CSG. She has enjoyed a diverse career at CSG, previously serving as former College Counselor, Dean of Faculty, and Interim Director of Upper School.
