Weekly Update - January 14, 2022
View our 2022 MLK Program
We invite you to watch the recording of our MLK program which was streamed live earlier today on our YouTube Channel. The program was produced by students in the Beauty of African American Culture Club, staff, and faculty and featured the Honorable Judge Denise Page Hood '70, United States Federal District Court Judge, as well as interactive songs, readings, and performances by CSG's Upper School Step Team and the African American Voices Gospel Choir at The Ohio State University. As a reminder, CSG will be closed Monday, January 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Have a great holiday weekend!

Thanks for joining us for the third installment of the DEIB Parent Series
Thanks to all who participated in our DEIB Parent Series chat on January 10. Featuring Amanda Erickson, Director of Education & Outreach with Kaleidoscope Youth Center, our third chat explored gender, gender identity, and gender expression. We appreciated the opportunity to discuss an important topic and welcomed all your questions and comments. To view the video, click here.
COVID-19 reporting tool
To streamline the reporting process for COVID-19 cases, we've created an online form that can be found via our COVID-19 Dashboard. Students, faculty, staff, and parents can use this form instead of contacting Nurse Price directly to report new cases or close contacts. While case reporting should be made through the form, Nurse Price is still available for your questions and concerns.
Sign-ups for parent-teacher conferences will be available beginning Tuesday, January 18. You will receive an email from your child's division with more details.
Save the Date!
Mark your calendars for Transition Night on Thursday, January 20. We'll be hosting events for rising Lower and Middle School students:
- Rising Lower School students (PYC 5/6 to Form I): 5:30-6:30pm
- Rising Middle School students (Form V to Form VI): 6:30-7:30pm
CSG winter weather protocol
If temperatures, snow, or ice create unsafe conditions, CSG will make closure and delay decisions by 6:00 a.m. Please note that there will be no before-care in the event of weather delays. You'll receive a telephone/text/email (depending on your preferences) via our emergency notification system. We'll also post the notification to the CSG website, social media, and notify the following media outlets:
- FM 94.5, 103.5, 104.3, 107.9, 92.3, 97.9, 105.7
- AM 610, 920, 1230
Pre-loved school uniforms wanted
While you're putting away your daughter's new clothes from the holidays, please set aside any outgrown school uniforms and donate them to the Attic. We accept all uniform clothing and spirit wear as long as it has no tears or stains. We also accept unworn socks. As a COVID-19 safety measure, we request all donations be recently washed and bagged. Donations may be left at the front desk or into the storage bin stationed outside the front door. To browse gently used clothing for your daughter, you can shop safely online at the link below.
Check out the Unicorner Store for cold-weather apparel
Just in time for the cold weather, the Unicorner Store is stocked with everything you need to stay warm—from beanies to blankets to sweatshirts and socks. Bundle up for the outdoors, or get cozy inside.
