Theater
Whether they’re on stage or behind the scenes, our theater students learn how to masterfully bring stories to life.
Students first become acquainted with the building blocks for theater in Lower School, when each Form performs short performances once per year. Lower School students also have opportunities to write, produce, and star in shows hosted by the CSG After Hours program.
CSG’s formal theater program begins in Middle School and extends through Upper School. Through dramas, musicals, comedies, and more, students learn the fundamentals of theater in a professional, state-of-the-art facility, the Agnes Jeffrey Shedd Theater.
Participation in the Thespian Society gives our Upper School students the opportunity to broaden their horizons beyond the CSG campus. Collaborative shows give our Middle School students an opportunity to learn from their older peers.
Our students are actors, stage managers, and set designers. They learn time management, leadership, and problem solving skills as they continuously set the bar higher for themselves.
Working with cutting edge lighting and sound equipment, CSG girls quite literally run the show.
