Transportation

At CSG, students arrive and depart from school in a variety of ways, including by public school busses or the CSG bus route, by car, and for a few, by bike or foot.

bus transportation is available for students in Kindergarten through FORM xii.

All students in Kindergarten through Form V are escorted by an adult to the bus lane after school. Kindergarteners who ride a bus are also met by an adult when they arrive in the morning and are escorted to their classroom.

Public School District Bus

If the commute from your home to CSG is within a half-hour drive time, your home school district is required by law to provide bus service to your child. To learn more, register for that service, or learn details about changes and procedures related to the pandemic, please contact your district’s transportation office and work directly with them.

CSG Supplemental Bus

Columbus School for Girls offers transportation to CSG students each school year. Transportation is provided on a school bus that is legally certified by the State of Ohio, with a licensed, experienced driver. We currently bus from the New Albany/East Side area, the Dublin/Powell area, the Worthington area, and the Columbus Academy/Gahanna area. Detailed information is listed below.

If you choose to have your child ride the CSG bus, it is necessary to commit for the entire school year, August through June. Fees will not be pro-rated. The charge per student is $800 round trip, $400 one way. PYC 3/4 and PYC 4/5 students are not eligible to ride the CSG bus.

**Please make sure that you have your student(s) to the stop five minutes before the bus is set to depart. Per our instructions, all drivers have been told that they are not to wait for late riders because that is contributing to the bus arriving to school late.**

In order to accommodate the needs of our families, CSG is pleased to offer four supplemental bus routes for the 2024-25 school year, for students in PYC 5/6 - Form XII, beginning Wednesday, August 21st:

If you choose to have your child ride the VAT CSG bus, it is necessary to commit for the entire school year, August 2024 through May 2025. To register for the VAT CSG bus, please make your selection in Final Forms on the Transportation Agreement tab no later than Wednesday, August 14th.
