Distance Learning: PYC
May 26, 2020
Dear PYC Families,
Over the past week many special moments have taken place for PYC girls and their families. On Friday we gathered for our End of Year PYC Assembly and sang our favorite songs. Girls in Form 5/6 were honored with roses and viewed a welcome message from a Lower School friend. They are ready to move on, they have grown and they are an example of the strength that comes through resilience.
Teachers from the Form 4/5 classroom visited each of the girls at their homes as a way to mark the close of the year. Based on the feedback I received, girls screamed, jumped, and laughed upon seeing their teachers in their front yards. This emotional connection will always remain, imprinted on the brain is the memory of teachers who loved and cared very much.
As our youngest learners, the 3/4 girls captured their physical PYC experience and recreated it in their homes. Dining rooms became classrooms and teachers responded to requests for read alouds and sing-alongs. One more surprise is still to come for our Form 3/4 girls! The “Ms. P’s,” as I have heard them called will always be trusted adults in the lives of this classroom community.
