CANTON — Columbus School for Girls junior Nyah Funderburke came into the Division II state swim meet Feb. 21 at Branin Natatorium determined to make a statement.

Gates Mills Hawken rolled to its 22nd straight championship and 30th overall with 399 points, followed by Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown (217) and CSG (165).
“Each year I come here, I make a goal that I want to show diversity both for myself and for colleges,” said Funderburke, daughter of former Wehrle and Ohio State basketball standout Lawrence Funderburke.
