Liz (Wheeler) Bishara '00 and Elise Skaggs share their musical talents in “O-H-I-O.”

Middle School Theater instructor Liz (Wheeler) Bishara '00 and Administrative Assistant Elise Skaggs will perform with the New Albany Symphony Orchestra Sunday, March 15, at 3 pm. The concert, entitled “O-H-I-O,”  will take place at the Jeanne B. McCoy Center for the Arts.

In addition to her role as the Middle School theater instructor here at CSG, Liz is the Artistic Director of New Albany Youth Theatre. For this event, she will be featured as a guest soloist of the New Albany Symphony Chorus, along with other guest soloists, Colin Sproule, Adam Heaston, and Meghan Hohman. Elise will perform as a violist in the orchestra. She joined NASO in 2015, performing regularly on the viola as a professional mentor. She is also on staff as their music librarian.

The concert features Beautiful Ohio, an excerpt from Bernstein’s Wonderful Town, Carmen Ohio and Copland’s Old American Songs. The audience is invited to sit back and enjoy the songs that are part of Ohio’s history and be inspired by Ohio’s very own accomplished Student Concerto Competition Winners. There is also a Saturday Sensory Friendly concert meant for concert-goers on the autism spectrum or those who need a more relaxed concert experience (i.e. young children).
