Nancy Jeffrey died peacefully at home on November 8, 2018, surrounded by her children. A philanthropist, advocate, and mentor, she combined her voice with action to create transformative change for so many in this community and beyond.
Lower School students were treated to their own, private concert earlier this month as Dr. Orlay Alonso P’28 (Sofia Alonso-Taub) joined them to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The girls had fun dancing in their seats and helping Dr. Alonso with mambo vocalization, but there was also a bigger message in Dr. Alonso’s artistry, one about family, connection, and individual perseverance.
Four students at Columbus School for Girls (CSG) have been recognized by the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The CSG Seniors are:
Eva House, Columbus- National Merit Semifinalist
Alison Maniace, Columbus - National Merit Commended Student
Sophia Rodriguez, Powell - National Merit Commended Student
Elizabeth Tierney, Upper Arlington - National Merit Commended Student
As an advocate for parents in Franklin County Family Recovery Court and a foster parent for more than 100 children over the years, 81-year-old Babette Feibel volunteers to fill the gaps in some of the toughest jobs the community has to offer and has no plans to slow down.
