2013 National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists

Columbus School for Girls is proud to recognize Emily Gammons '13 and Jenny Henderson '13, named Semifinalists in the 2013 National Merit® Scholarship Program.
Over 1.5 million juniors entered the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). As Semifinalists, Emily and Jenny join approximately 16,000 U.S. high school seniors, representing the top scoring students in each state.
Emily and Jenny are eligible to compete for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $32 million. Approximately 90 percent of Semifinalists will fulfill the requirements to reach Finalist status, and roughly half of the Finalists will be eligible for a National Merit Scholarship, announced in the spring, between April and July.
