CSG Students Take Second in Midwest City Tennis Championships

A team of 20 Columbus tennis players including Marissa Madison, Form VIII, Mary Anne Click, Form X, and Paige Quinton, Form X, represented Columbus in the Midwest City Team Championships, played in Indianapolis over the weekend of July 20-22. The Columbus Junior Tennis Team, coached by Jim Criswell, was sponsored by the Bernard Masters Tennis Circuit and Olympic Indoor Tennis Club. The Columbus team took home a second place finish after they beat Indianapolis, Dayton, Madison (Wisconsin) and St. Louis then fell short to Chicago in a very close finals match.
Marissa also won the Contardi Hard-court Tennis Championships (14-under) in Cincinnati over the weekend of July 27-29. She won four matches, including a win in the finals over the #1 seed. This was the 2nd USTA tournament win for Marissa this summer. Congratulations to our talented players from Columbus School for Girls!
