Posted April 26, 2012

Middle School Spanish teacher,Andrea Adkins-Griffith, will travel to Poland this summer from July 1 – July 9 for an in-depth study of the Holocaust, Jewish life in Poland (pre- and post-war), and Poland’s current position in global politics. Classrooms without Borders, a new non-profit organization founded this year, enables educators to participate in study seminars to enhance their understanding of the Holocaust. Andrea will participate in 4 pre-departure workshops in Pittsburgh, headquarters for Classrooms without Borders. Additionally, Andrea will attend 2 workshops after the trip to share instructional materials she designs for her Spanish curriculum. This summer-study program is made possible by a generous donation from a CSG family.
