Music & Performance Ensembles

Middle School

Middle School offers general music to Forms VI. The National Standards are supported by the Orff-Schulwerk philosophy experienced in the following content areas: notational literacy, analysis, music of the masters, world music, movement, integrated activities with grade level topics, singing and instrument playing. Students are required to select either Strings, Band or Choir, and will have three years experience performing with their selected ensemble. These ensembles regularly participate in activities sanctioned by the Ohio Music Education Association, such as Solo and Ensemble, festivals, and large group adjudication.
