The CSG Mathematics Department embraces the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards that emphasize problem solving and application, along with calculation and memorization. Our goal is to provide a thorough and rigorous program that builds confidence and allows the girls to know they are competent mathematicians.

The Lower School uses the Everyday Mathematics Program that is based on the work of NCTM and The University of Chicago School Mathematics Project. Everyday Mathematics is presented in strands of content that spiral through the program many times during each school year.
