Columbus School for Girls' active alumnae include more than 2,770 diverse and talented women who live in 47 states, 21 foreign countries, and six continents.

Our events aim to be as diverse as our alumnae community with activities such as alumnae-student programming, events in central Ohio and around the country, ScholarShop, Young Alumnae happy hours, family friendly events, and the ever-popular Alumnae Weekend. We hope to see you at an event soon!

Families and children welcome! Please bring your own blankets and chairs to this picnic. CSG's Young Alumnae Council will provide games and activities for kids!

Julia Stevenson '99

Dr. Julia Stevenson ’99 is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon at the Guthrie

Clinic. She is a graduate of Hampton University, where she received her B.S. in

Biology, and the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine (PSUCOM)

in Hershey, Pennsylvania where she received her Doctorate in Medicine. She

then completed her rigorous 7 year residency program at PSUCOM and

was the first African-American to graduate from the program. Since leaving

Hershey, she has worked at the Guthrie Clinic where she practices the breadth

of Plastic Surgery and mentors residents and medical students.

Kristen Orlando '01

Writing is one of the great loves of Kristen Orlando ’01’s life and she’s been lucky

enough to make it her living—rst as a television producer, then as a marketer and

now as a young adult novelist. After graduating with a B.A. in English Literature

from Kenyon College, Kristen became a television producer for NBC4 in Columbus

where she won an Associated Press award and garnered two Emmy nominations.

Kristen now owns a boutique Marketing and PR agency and has fullled her dream

of becoming an author. She is currently working on several young adult books with

a major publisher. Her rst novel, YOU DON’T KNOW MY NAME, will be published

on January 10, 2017.

Kate Livingston '99

Kate Livingston ’99, Ph.D. teaches Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) at The Ohio State University. She received a B.A. from Smith College in Government, an M.A in WGSS from University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D. in WGSS from The Ohio State University. An award-winning educator and community activist, Kate teaches courses on issues of gender, race, class and sexuality- including student favorites Gender, Sex and Power and Gender, Race and Sexuality in Pop Culture. Her research focuses on gender and public policy, feminist political theory, and reproductive rights and justice in the United States. Kate’s academic work is deeply connected to community outreach and social justice activism. She is the director of Ohio Birthparent Group, an adoption support and education organization in Columbus, and was recently appointed by the Supreme Court of Ohio as the sole non-attorney member of the Supreme Court’s Commission on Continuing Legal Education.

Monday, June 5, 2017 - Senior Life Skills Program

The Senior Life Skills Program is designed to educate seniors about some of the topics they will encounter in life outside of their academic life at CSG. Sponsored by the CSG Alumnae Board, and organized by members of the alumnae community, the Senior Life Skills Program is a day full of meaningful and useful life lessons for seniors to take with them to college and beyond. During the Senior Life Skills Program, alumnae and select faculty will speak to seniors about range of individual topics including college academics, mental and physical wellness, finances, legal matters and self-defense. Also part of the programming, is a young alumnae Q&A session about life in college. The day will end with seniors learning the ins and outs of face-to-face social and professional networking with several members of our alumnae community.


The Senior Life Skills Program takes place during the school day on Monday, June 5, 2017. The program will be heldin the Agnes Jeffrey Shedd Theater Lobby, where lunch and snacks will be provided by the Alumnae Board and CSG Alumnae Relations Office. At the conclusion of the Senior Life Skills Program, we would like to give each member of the Class of 2017 a copy of the book The Naked Roommate, which has been identified as a relevant text for our girls as they enter their post-CSG lives!
