Frequently Asked Questions:

1)    Does the school locate host families for international students?

No. Typically our international students have relatives or family friends that live in Columbus who they have already arranged to stay with.

2)    When do most international students come to CSG? How long do they stay?

Most of our international students come to CSG for high school and graduate from CSG. It is preferred that a student starts as a freshman and stay four years through her senior year. However, some international students transfer as a sophomore or junior. We do not accept international students as a senior.

3)    On the application form, what is the best way to fill out the parent information?

We request that parents of international applicants fill in both the parent information, as well as the local guardian information so that we can easily communicate with both parties.

4)    Does CSG have an “English as a Second Language Program” (ESL)?

CSG does not have an official ESL program within the school. The Admission office is able to recommend ESL class opportunities and/or ESL tutors outside of school in the Columbus community. We highly encourage our international students to consistently visit the Writing Center in the Upper School, which is offered during study hall periods, to enhance her English writing skills.

5)    Are international families eligible for financial aid?

At this time, we do not offer financial aid to international students. Information regarding tuition and payment options can be found in the Admission section under “Paying for a CSG Education.”
