Dances and Other Things

We know that the benefits of an all-girls school are invaluable, but we also know that young women want and need coeducational experiences.

Many of our students are very involved in organizations and activities outside the school, but we also offer traditional events within the CSG community.

Upper School

CSG girls enjoy four traditional dances throughout the school year including Prom, The Holiday Ball, Decade Dance, and Sadie Hawkins. Students can plan additional dances; in recent years these have included Spring Fling, Back to School, and Mardi Gras. All Upper School students are invited to every dance. Depending upon the dance, students may bring one invited guest or a group of friends from outside CSG. Most theatre productions are coed; CSG invites boys from a variety of local schools to audition. Service Club tutoring is a joint effort between students from CSG and St. Charles Preparatory School.

Middle School

Students in Forms VII and VIII are invited to several dances throughout the year. CSG joins with two coed independent schools to organize and host these dances for students from all three schools.
