About the Search Firm

Brigham Hill Consultancy is a retained search firm that specializes in executive searches for not-for-profit organizations. In particular, the firm specializes in leadership searches for independent schools across the country. Brigham Hill’s President and Founder, Linc Eldredge, has conducted nearly 60 head of school searches throughout his career and will be leading our search. His associate, Jessica Cockrell, has partnered with him on all of the firm’s head of school searches for the past six years.

Linc Eldredge, President of Brigham Hill Consultancy, will serve as the lead consultant. Linc founded the firm over 15 years ago following a successful, 20-year career in the for-profit search industry. Over the years, he has led approximately 55 head of school searches as well as dozens of searches for senior administrators of independent schools and other nonprofit organizations.

Jessica Cockrell will serve as the associate consultant. She has partnered with Linc on 20 head of school searches during the past six years and has led or been involved with an equal number of other independent school projects, in addition to numerous leadership searches in other nonprofit fields.

Head of School Search

Head of School Liza Lee announced her retirement to the CSG community on Februay 26, 2013. The primary reason for Liza's announcement at this time was to provide us with sufficient time to find the very best candidate. Liza's goal and that of the Board is to ensure that the ground work for success that Liza has put in place will continue under her successor. We are all committed to a transparent, orderly and well-managed process throughout the search as well as the transition.

In addition to the Search Committee and search firm, Brigham Hill, we are assembling various key constituencies to provide input. Representatives from Brigham Hill were on campus in early March to gather information about the school and to solicit input from faculty, administration, parents and students for purposes of drafting a “position profile," which is now complete. Brigham Hill has now begun its search for candidates in earnest. Later in May, Brigham Hill will present the Search Committee with information about potential candidates, and from those individuals, the Search Committee will select a pool of candidates for Brigham Hill to prescreen.

A Faculty Advisory Committee has been convened, and the formation of a Parent Advisory Committee will be complete by June. An Alumnae Advisory Committee will be convened in the coming months, as well.
