  • Director of Counseling

    Columbus School for Girls will be hiring a full-time Director of Counseling commencing in the 2014-2015 academic school year. Though primarily responsible for the social and emotional counseling of adolescents in Middle and Upper School, the Director also leads and guides the members of the Support Services Department at Columbus School for Girls by establishing a unified vision and direction for emotional wellness and counseling at the school.   • Lower School Math Specialist

    Columbus School for Girls will be hiring a full-time teacher to serve as Math Specialist for grades 1-5 in the Lower School for the 2014 – 2015 academic year. The Lower School Math Specialist provides curricular support to homeroom teachers, meets with ability groups to differentiate instruction for students who need additional support, as well as students who need enrichment, and provides resources to and regular communication with Lower School parents. He or she serves on the Support Service committee in order to promote ensure differentiation in teaching math across the division.

  • Upper School History/English Teacher

    Columbus School for Girls will be hiring a full-time Upper School teacher commencing in the 2014-2015 academic school year. This is a dual position sharing equal time in the History and English departments. Candidates for the position should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in History or a related field (Political Science, International Relations, etc.), or in English with preparation emphasis in teaching both writing and literature. Strong classroom management skills, proficiency with classroom technology, and flexibility are key components of the position.

  • Full-Time Early Childhood Teacher, Program for Young Children

    For the 2014 – 2015 school year, CSG’s Program for Young Children is seeking a full-time teacher in our Early Childhood program. The candidate will have the desire and ability to work in an environment committed to inquiry, reflection, and learning in partnership with students, parents, and our exceptional faculty. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, experience in developmentally appropriate practices, proficiency with current technology, and a passion for young children and their families. A bachelor’s degree in either Early Childhood or Elementary Education and Pre-K – 3 licensure in the State of Ohio are required; a master’s degree is preferred.

  • Upper School Science Teacher

    Columbus School for Girls will be hiring a talented science educator for a full time position in the Upper School (grades 9-12). Candidates for the position should hold a bachelor’s degree in science (preferably biology and some Earth science experience) with an advanced degree in the content area or science education preferred. We seek an energetic teacher with a wide breadth of knowledge in both biological and physical sciences, facility with the technologies commonly used in teaching science, a strong understanding of effective science pedagogy, and an ability to connect with adolescents to serve a wide range of learning styles. Although CSG is open to hiring talented and promising individuals who are new to the classroom, we prefer three years of prior teaching experience including lab instruction.
