    Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a part-time (80%) Elementary School art teacher to begin in the 2015-2016 academic year. Candidates for the position should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in art education or fine arts with preparation emphasis in elementary education. Strong classroom management skills, proficiency with classroom technology, and range of preparation in different media are key requirements of this position. The ideal candidate must demonstrate skills in 2-D and 3-D art, as well as fluency in the analysis of history, critique, and aesthetics. Candidates should be able to present a portfolio of work in various media upon request. We seek an energetic, flexible teacher who is eager to build upon a dynamic art program in an enthusiastic and collegial Lower School learning environment.

  • Lower School Part-Time Technology Integration Specialist

    Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a part-time (80%) Lower School Technology Integration Specialist to begin in the academic year 2015-2016. Candidates for the position should hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology, mathematics or a related area of study, and/or demonstrate competency in instructional technology evidenced by effective classroom implementation. We seek an energetic teacher with an extensive background in Lower School education who is eager to build upon a dynamic and evolving technology and robotics program for grades 1-5. The Technology Integration Specialist will also be responsible for Lower School scheduling and faculty professional development. The successful candidate must be collaborative and a good communicator who values working outside of the classroom with teachers and Lower School students.

  • Lower School Librarian

    Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a full-time librarian serving Early Childhood students ages 3 through grade 5 to begin in the 2015-2016 academic year. The Lower School librarian provides curricular support and works collaboratively with classroom and special area teachers to develop information literacy and research skills delivered through project-based work and weekly grade-level library classes.

  • Middle School Science Teacher

    Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a full-time Middle School teacher to begin in the 2015-2016 academic year. Candidates for the position should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, environmental science, or physics). Strong classroom management skills, proficiency with classroom technology, field experience in natural science, and a commitment to inquiry-based learning are key requirements of the position. We seek an energetic teacher with a strong background in Middle School education who is eager to build upon a dynamic and evolving science program in Grade 8 that emphasizes critical thinking skills and creative approaches to the science curriculum. We also value flexibility and a coaching interest in robotics or athletics. The successful candidate must be collaborative and a good communicator who values working outside of the classroom with Middle School students.

    Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a full-time Preschool and Lower School Learning Support Specialist to begin in the 2015-2016 academic year. This individual will support the Preschool and Lower School faculty in implementing research-based effective practices to meet student needs within the classroom. He or she will also support students who are struggling in classes because of individual learning differences, and, in association with the Director of Counseling, will coordinate and oversee all testing initiatives at the division level.

  • Theater Technical Director

Candidates for the position must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Technical Theater with training and experience in scene design and construction, stage lighting, sound management, and stage rigging. Experience in high school, college, community and/or professional theatre is required.
