  • Upper School English Teacher

    Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a full-time Upper School English teacher to begin in the 2015-2016 academic year. Experienced and well-qualified candidates with bachelor's degrees in English will be considered, but a master's degree or higher is preferred. The strongest candidates would be qualified to teach American and British literature. Candidates should have experience teaching both writing and literature to high school or college students and possess strong classroom management skills and proficiency with classroom technology. We seek an energetic, flexible teacher who is eager to build upon a dynamic literature and writing program and who can work with a creative, collaborative Upper School faculty.

  • Grounds Maintenance Worker

    Columbus School for Girls is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Maintenance Department as a full time Grounds Maintenance Worker. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the grounds for our Bexley campus and other school owned properties. Candidate will perform landscape duties including pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding and snow and ice removal. Candidate must be able to operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mower, back pack blower, trimmers, and edger. Experience working with an irrigation system is a plus. Candidate will also be asked to assist in other areas of the maintenance department such as event set-up and tear-down.

  • Theater Technical Director

    Columbus School for Girls will be hiring a half-time Theater Technical Director beginning in the academic year 2015-2016. Candidates for the position must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Technical Theater with training and experience in scene design and construction, stage lighting, sound management, and stage rigging. Experience in high school, college, community and/or professional theatre is required.

    Columbus School for Girls (CSG) seeks a visionary leader who understands academic technology and will lead our Technology Department to its next level of excellence as the Director of Technology. She/he will possess the ability to work with multiple constituencies in a fast-paced, academic environment. Working with both the academic and operational sectors of CSG, the successful candidate will balance well the competing priorities of a visionary academic program and the maintenance of a dynamic technical environment. She/he will provide guidance, insight, and counsel to our Administrative Team. The successful Director will have a demonstrated ability to create and implement progressive technology plans that support and sustain operations and enhance the administrative and academic, mission-related programs of a school environment.   • PS/K and Elementary Substitute Teachers

    Columbus School for Girls is seeking qualified substitute teachers who are able and willing to engage students throughout the year in the Program for Young Children (ages 3-6) and Lower School (Grades 1-5). Candidates for the positions should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education (for Preschool/Kindergarten with appropriate certifications) or hold a teaching license that encompasses elementary education (Grades 1-5 for Lower School).
